Heather Hammer is a partner at Doyle Schafer McMahon, LLP. Her primary area of expertise is medical malpractice defense.
Ms. Hammer graduated cum laude from the University of California, San Diego in 2003. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of La Verne, College of Law in 2006. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2006.
Ms. Hammer began her legal career in medical malpractice defense in 2007 with Carroll, Kelly, Trotter & Franzen. She became a partner at Carroll Kelly et al. in 2020. She joined Doyle Schafer McMahon, LLP, in 2021, where she continues to focus on defending hospitals, physicians and other healthcare providers in Southern California’s healthcare community.
Ms. Hammer is a member of the Association of Southern Defense Counsel and the Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management. She participated in the Jack Daniels’ Trial School in 2010, sponsored by the American Board of Trial Advocates.
